Job Description
CrossBoundary is recruiting a full-time Investment Advisor to join CrossBoundary in Poland (Warsaw). As a member of the transaction team, you will actively contribute to a powerful intervention that has the potential for significant impact on investment into Central Europe & the broader Emerging Europe region, in addition to building CrossBoundary’s long-term presence in the region.
CrossBoundary is an investment firm. As an Investment Advisor, you will identify and evaluate investment opportunities, conduct macroeconomic market assessments, and provide investment transaction support. Investment Advisor candidates should have 5+ years of experience working in high-calibre finance or consulting organizations and experience working in developing countries – experience of having worked in the region is a plus. Interest and expertise in international trade and investment programs will be regarded favorably, and experience working with and / or within a DFI will be highly valued.

- Transaction origination and evaluation
- Rigorous assessment of investment opportunities
- Market assessment and ongoing market analysis
- Conducting macroeconomic, regulatory, and operational assessments

- Managing numerous investor relationships
- Transaction support
- Leading complex transactions
- Managing project performance and overseeing reporting of all project activities and results to key program stakeholders
The ideal candidate will have the following skills and qualifications:
- 5+ years in top tier banking, consulting, private equity, or similar
- MBA or another advanced degree (including CFA) required
- Strong network in the region required
- English business fluency, and fluency in one or more regional languages will be regarded favourably
- Demonstrated leadership skills, preferably in fast-moving and complex environments
- Excellent analytical ability and discipline; ability to think clearly, structure problems logically, and then design and implement solutions that focus on the core issue
- Excellent quantitative skills; ability to apply analytical rigor to complex and uncertain tasks
- Knowledge of corporate finance and familiarity with company evaluation and valuation techniques
- Ability to build strong relationships with clients and colleagues in stressful environments
- Excellent presentation skills; ability to communicate clearly and effectively with diverse audiences
- Comfort with ambiguity; ability to operate effectively in a changing context
- Knowledge of the regional investment landscape (or previous work experience in it)
- Experience working with a range of stakeholders (including private equity firms, Development Finance Institutions, and development agencies) to support investments in high impact sectors
